What is Dhamma Hadaya?

Dhamma Hadaya is a mindfulness retreat center where anybody can stay and relax for any period. Mentors, coaches, meditation experts, monks are available to discuss your life problems and find appropriate decisions. You can visit individually, as a group or with family.

Is Dhamma Hadaya a religious place?

No, anybody can join despite being Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim or any nationality.

Where is it located?

Located in Kandy Road, passing Warakapola town and passing Ambepussa Guesthouse, 2km towards Kandy near the 62nd Mile Post, 700m uphill the Green Centre. Rs. 100 for three wheeler from Kandy road.

How to arrange meditation sessions?

Via a call or email. The meditational advisors vary from program to program time to time.

Who can come?

Any interested person, as an individual, as a group or as a family who wish to seek mindfulness.

Accommodation facilities?

Individual rooms, family rooms, shareable rooms and cottages consisting of bathrooms and basic facilities.

Who are the trainers?

Trainers/Instructors/Consultants are experienced quality professionals. They are chosen for their proven ability in human talent management and physiology, adventure, soft skills, mind body wellness and therapies, yoga, mindfulness, coaching, counseling, mentoring and Aurvadic medicine and you will find they understand your requirement.


Dhana food or dry rations can be supplied by donors during free meditation sessions or a small fee for food and accommodation will be charged. Diet is strictly vegetarian. Pure drinking water is freely available. Meal preferences for foreign nationals can be arranged on prior notice.

First Aid and emergency?

Basic first aid is available within the site and the place is safe located 2km away from the General Hospital Warakapola.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in 8km, Sri Dalada Maligawain 40km, Nuwara Eliya, Kurunegala, Kegalla, Avissavella, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Katunayake-Colombo highway 40km.

What is C- Hearts?

It is the Training arm of Young Ecologists’ Association of Sri Lanka (YEASL). It empowers the facility by providing necessary support. Coaching, training, counseling, mentoring and motivational programs are conducted for the public and private sector participants. There are specialist trainers, coaches, counselors and catering service providers as per the needs of different stakeholders. Sessions are both inbound and outbound with a psychological and spiritual touch. Also local experts along with foreign trainers’ sessions are available time to time.

How to Donate?

Donations such as food, dry rations, day-to-day usable items and equipment or at least any amount of money are welcome for the maintenance of the place, to pay the workers and for all other miscellaneous things.
